Welcome to Croatia!

Day Two

Set out this morning for a private walking tour of Split’s city center with your guide. Discover this dynamic city that has evolved over the centuries. It offers a perfect blend of history and modern influences, and boasts museums, great architecture, restaurants, shops and an abundant green and open fish market.

Begin with a stop at the open food market, where you can experience fresh local ingredients. Continue to Diocletian’s Palace for a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was originally built as a residential summer palace for the Roman emperor.

Your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy Split on your own. You may wish to walk along the Riva (waterfront) to enjoy the ambience of this friendly city.

Free evening on your own.

Day Three

Just a short ride from Split is the location of origin of Zinfandel. Through DNA testing it was discovered that Zinfandel originates from Crljenjak, a wine variety also known in Italy as Primitivo.

Visit to vineyards overlooking Split where the last remains of this ancient wine was found. A wine tasting with a winemaker considered to be one of Croatia's top expert on Crljenjak will be organized.

Return to Split and free afternoon and evening.

Discover Croatia’s most beautiful islands on a full-day tour from Split. Sail across the sea to discover the Mediterranean as it used to be at Hvar, Biševo, Vis... Your journey begins by traveling to the famous Blue Cave on Biševo island. Discover an amazing natural phenomenon that was originally accessible only by diving, but, since 1884, can be accessed by a narrow entrance large enough for a small boat. Experience the beautiful blue-silver light from a small boat for about 20 minutes.

Next, drive to the picturesque village of Komiža on Vis, where the locals are proud of their fishermen's history. Wander among narrow stone houses or take a walk on the promenade for a coffee. See the pebble beaches of Komiža. Continue to Stiniva Cove on the island of Vis to laze on the beach and snorkel in the sea. A unique place in the Adriatic Sea, the entrance to the cove is relatively narrow and surrounded by two high cliffs best experienced in the morning when there is a plenty of sun. Just 10 minutes away is a sandy beach at the Blue Lagoon on Budikovac, situated between 3 islets. You will have an hour to swim and snorkel here in the crystal-clear sea.

Then, drive to the beautiful town of Hvar, where you will have some free time to see all the cultural sights of one of the 10 most beautiful harbors in the world. Have a coffee on the promenade, and then go to the Cathedral of St. Stephen. See the historic Bishop's Palace, and explore the citadel built on the site of a medieval castle. Enjoy panoramic views of Hvar and the Pakleni islands from the Spanjol or Fortica fortress, built in 16th century to protect the town from the Turks. Return to Split in the evening.

Duration 12h - If the Blue Cave is inaccessible due to bad weather the tour operator will endeavor to provide a suitable alternative

In the morning after breakfast and checking out of your hotel you will continue to Dubrovnik. On route to Dubrovnik, you will stop in one of the best wineries in Croatia located on the hills rising from the Adriatic Sea. There you will enjoy unique gastronomic experience of combining fine food with excellent wines all produced in the vineyard located around you.

In late afternoon, you will arrive to Dubrovnik and after checking in your hotel you will have a free evening to familiarize yourself with this amazing city. Dinner on your own.

In the morning a tour of Dubrovnik, “Pearl of the Adriatic” will be organized. Irish author George Bernard Shaw wrote, “Those who seek paradise on Earth must come to Dubrovnik.” The Old Town, protected by city walls, fortresses and bastions, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A walk along the ramparts reveals a view of the enchanting Elafiti Islands. Stroll the cobblestone streets with your local guide to admire Onofrio fountain, the city bell tower and numerous medieval buildings.
